Favignana’s Tonnara Florio, a gem to discover

An old tuna fishing, processing and preserving facility spanning 32,000 square meters: one of the biggest of the Mediterranean.
Today this structure has become a museum, with a vast collection regarding the everyday running of the tonnara, the life of the Florio family, a room with projections of historic video clips, educational materials about the fishing and the processing of tuna, as well as rooms dedicated to underwater archeological finds.
